Dr. Honoria Acosta- Sison is is recognized of her important contributions in the field of a woman with many firsts, such as first Filipino woman physician, first Filipino woman graduate of an American Medical School and first Filipino woman obstetrician. Dr. Acosta- Sison our first lady doctor yet, she did not graduate from the Philippines but from Pennsylvania Medical School. Going against traditional Filipino culture, Honoria Acosta-Sison applied for a government scholarship as a pensionado in 1903. She took her preparatory course at the Drexel Institute and Brown Preparatory School, then took her Doctor of Medicine degree at the Woman's Medical College of Pennsylvania. She possessed a strong will and even extended her study to get residency training at the Maternity Hospital in the same institution. She is married to Dr. Antonio Sison, an outstanding physician.

Dr. Adalla teaches courses in basic entomology and crop protection and serves as guest lecturer in graduate and undergraduate courses in Plant Breeding. She also serves as adviser of undergraduate and graduate students in economic entomology, insect pest management and host plant resistance. She has conducted researches in IPM and HPR and Gender Issues in Agriculture and served in various college, university and national technical committees. It was during her term as CA dean when the actual reorganization of the College was implemented after nine years of discussion and planning initiated by her predecessors.

Dr. Lilibeth Acosta-Michlik is a senior scientist in the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research. She received her degrees from the University of the Philippines (BSc), University of Cambridge in England (MPhil), and University of Bonn in Germany (PhD). She has worked in renowned research institutions in Germany, Belgium, United Kingdom and Japan. She has received scholarship and fellowship awards from various international institutions (i.e. IRRI, British Council, Cambridge Overseas Trust, German Academic Exchange Service, and Japan Society for the Promotion of Science) for her studies and research. Dr. Acosta-Michlik's current research interests include sustainability and vulnerability in the context of climatic, economic and land-use changes. She conducts integrated assessment modelling using statistical (e.g. cluster, conjoint, logit, path analyses), fuzzy logic, and agent-based techniques. She has published many articles in ISI-journals and has regularly reviewed articles for these journals. She has developed and participated in the development of successful projects for funding by the Asia-Pacific Network; Belgium Science Policy; Global Change System for Analysis, Research and Training; and European Commission. She has also coordinated and collaborated in many international and interdisciplinary projects funded by international organizations and European national governments. She provides/provided research supervision to undergraduate and graduate students in renowned universities in Berlin, Potsdam, Louvain (Belgium), Kyoto and the Philippines.
