Ida M. Siason

Dr. Ida M. Siason, is recognized for her important contributions in the field of retired psychology professor from the Division of Social Sciences and Dr. Ebonia Seraspe, retired biology professor from the Division of Biological Sciences, were recently appointed as Professor Emeriti by the UP Board of Regents during its 1321st meeting on October 27, 2016. Both are from the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS). The conferment means that Siason and Seraspe can once again teach, do research, mentor and perform administrative work in the University. Siason has served as a faculty member of UP Visayas for 36 years and was its Chancellor for two terms in 1998 to 2005 and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs from 1993 to 1998. Meanwhile Seraspe has served UPV for 43 years and was the Vice-Chancellor for Research and Extension in 2001 to 2003 and Dean of CAS in 2005 to 2008.
