Expertise: Botany, Agronomy, Crop Physiology and Morphology

Dr. Victoria Cosico is recognized a plant physiologist who prepared cotton descriptors as basic data input to crop breeding researchers. Her researches on crop mineral nutrition and application of growth regulators to enhace productivity and the shedding behavior as affected by different agro-climatic conditions led to the development of REPROGRAMS. Recently, she has developed different crop growth models and determined yield potentials of commercial cotton varieties which are basic in crop management toward achieving high farm production. Dr. Cosico finished her doctorate degree (1973-1980) in Botany minor in Postharvest Physiology at the University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City.
