Scientist Profile

Wenresti G. Gallardo

Marine Science, Outstanding Young Scientist (2004)

Expertise: Marine Science, Biology, Aquaculture & Aquatic Resources Management

Dr. Wenresti Gallardo is recognized for important of his pioneering work in the field of Marine Science specifically on indigenous species of bivalves and gastropods which is a landmark in the study of mollusks in the country. His research on brood-stock development of Placuna placenta is a significant contribution to the development of seed production techniques in the aquaculture industry. Dr. Gallardo’s work contributes not only to the advancement of science but also in addressing resource depletion and poverty in the coastal communities of our country.
