Having devoted over 6 decades of his life to teaching, research and extension services, Dr. Francisco Fronda contributed immensely to the development of poultry industry not only in the Philippines but in Asia region as well. In recognition of his pioneering contributions, he was cited as the "Father of Poultry Science in the Philippines" by the Philippine Association of Animal Science, 1980; and "Father of Thai Poultry Industry" honor presented by Her Royal Highness, the Crown Princess of Thailand, 1982. Dr. Fronda has no less than 500 scientific articles of great value in the development of poultry and livestock industry. He also authored a textbook in Poultry Science Production for students in agriculture and co-authored a series of books entitled " Let Us Raise Series" for secondary and elementary pupils.

Dr. Samuel S. Franco is recognized for his important contributions in the field of  Agricultural Process Engineering, Renewable Energy Technologies and Ceramic Materials Processing.  He has various study visits and trainings in Agricultural Production Systems, Industrial Manufacturing and Energy Technologies in Canada, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia and the United States of America. Engr. Franco has been awarded as Outstanding Agricultural Engineer in Agricultural Process Engineering and Energy by the Philippine Society of Agricultural Engineers (PSAE). His research works have received awards and citations from the Commission on Higher Education, Department of Agriculture and the Department of Science and Technology. He has a patent about heat pump dryer granted by the Intellectual Property Office (Philippines). The present major research and extension engagements of Engr. Franco are (1) Sweet Sorghum for Food and Energy; (2) Garlic Postharvest Technology; (3) Biomass Gasification; (4) Crop Drying and Processing Technology; (5) Ceramic Raw Materials Processing and Characterization.

Dr. Juan R. Francisco was a Professor of Indology at the Asian Studies Program, Asian Center, University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City. He is a Filipino Indologist who discovered the Maranao version of the Ramayana that is native to the Philippines. He then translated it into English.
