Dr. Manuel Logroño is recognized of his contribution to corn breeding research that led to the development of high yielding yellow corn hybrids, now part of the Grains Production Enhancement Program of the Department of Agriculture and development of the first double endosperm mutant variety approved for release by the Philippine Seed Board.
